GREEN TEAM ALARCOS

TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Beyond research, Green Team Alarcos works with public administrations and companies to put software and AI sustainability into practice: training, assessment frameworks, energy-consumption advice and awareness-raising actions that turn our results into real, measurable improvements.

Collaboration agreement with the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha

In July 2026 the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha (JCCM) and the University of Castilla-La Mancha, through the Green Team of the Alarcos Research Group, signed a collaboration agreement for the promotion of software sustainability.

The agreement aims to integrate software and AI sustainability into the design, development, evaluation and use of software solutions across the JCCM, encouraging technology companies that bid for public contracts to include software and AI sustainability criteria in their proposals. It also includes awareness-raising actions aimed at companies and society on the environmental impact of software and AI.
