Our colleagues Elena Desdentado and Coral Calero attended the 23rd edition of the International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing (ICSOC) in Shenzhen, China.
On December 1st, Elena Desdentado presented the article “Estimating the number of shots to improve results accuracy” (Elena Desdentado, Macario Polo, Coral Calero) at the Services and Quantum Software (SQS) workshop held as part of the ICSOC conference.
This article presents a study whose objective is to optimise the selection of the number of shots in gate-based quantum computers to improve the accuracy of results. To this end, an algorithm is proposed that estimates the appropriate number of shots and is validated with algorithms such as Grover and Greenoble, demonstrating that its estimated value consistently offers the highest accuracy.
