On October 31, the graduation ceremony for the XIV class of the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering was held. At the event, our classmate Elena Ballesteros Morallón was one of the students chosen to deliver a speech on behalf of the graduating class.
During the ceremony, Elena was recognized with two awards: the first for the best academic record in the degree and the second for the best Bachelor’s Thesis in software development under an agile framework, awarded by the company Inetum.
Her thesis, titled “GREENN: A Tool for Assessing the Energy Consumption of Neural Network Training,” was supervised by Félix O. García and María González. This tool enables users to understand the energy behavior of their neural networks and choose the most suitable one for their problem, thereby achieving a balance between performance and sustainability.
