Carlos Pulido, Ignacio García, Mª Ángeles Moraga, Félix Oscar García, and Coral Calero have published the paper "Pypen: Code Instrumentation Tool for Dynamic Analysis and Energy Efficiency Evaluation" in the Computer Standards & Interfaces journal. The paper presents Pypen, a profiler that uses instrumentation to collect detailed execution data about the software execution. Through its integration with the ecosystem of tools of the technological component of the FEETINGS framework, Pypen is able to identify “hot” methods where the highest energy consumption occurs, allowing developers to focus on improving the energy efficiency of specific software sections.
