On 11 December, our colleagues Marian Moraga and Félix García gave a talk entitled ‘The dark side of software’ at the CIFP Virgen de Gracia in Puertollano to raise awareness of the environmental impact that ICT, and in particular software, has on the environment. The talk addressed the need to develop energy-efficient software and gave some examples of the energy consumption of the use of some applications, so that users are aware of the impact of their use and the need to use them responsibly.
